Google review link generator with QR code and printable card
Paste your Place ID or Google review link to get a direct “write a review” link, a QR code and printable cards, all made in your browser without contacting Google.
Your review link
Test it in a private/incognito window and on a phone. The review form should open with your business name at the top.
This link uses a Google address format that Google doesn't officially document, so it could change without notice. Test your link before printing, and re-test it once a year. Place IDs can also change (Google suggests refreshing them after 12 months). If you manage the Business Profile, the review link Google gives you (g.page/r/…/review) is the most stable choice, and you can paste it here to get a QR code and card. Ask every customer, not just the happy ones, and never offer anything in return for a review. Google's policy forbids incentives and selectively asking for positive reviews, and fake or incentivised reviews can be removed. In the US, the FTC's Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule (16 CFR Part 465) also bans rewards that depend on a review being positive and bans threats to suppress reviews.

How to find your Place ID
- You manage the Business Profile (best: works for every business, including hidden addresses). On a computer, go to your Business Profile (search your business name on Google while signed in as the owner). Choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, then Copy. Paste that link here.
- Your business shows its address.Open Google's Place ID Finder. Type your business name, pick it from the list and copy the Place ID. It starts with ChIJ.
- Your address is hidden (service-area business) and you can't use method 1. Use a computer:
- Open a private or incognito window. Owners who are signed in may not see the Write a review button.
- Search your exact business name and town on google.com.
- In the business panel, right-click Write a review and choose Inspect.
- In the code panel that opens, press Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on Mac) and search for
data-pid. - Copy the text between the quotes after
data-pid=. It starts with ChIJ. Paste it here.
- From a Google Maps link. If the link in the address bar contains
ChIJorquery_place_id=, paste the whole link and we'll pull the ID out.- Short share links (
maps.app.goo.gl/…) don't contain the ID. Open one first, then copy the long address. - Long Maps links that only show
0x…:0x…don't contain a Place ID either. Use method 1 or 3.
- Short share links (
How it works
Paste a Place ID, a Google review or Maps link, or your g.page review link. The page finds the Place ID, adds it to Google's write-review address, and turns that link into a QR code, ready-to-send messages and a print-ready card. It all runs in your browser, so nothing is sent to Google or to us, and the link goes straight to Google with no redirect through this site.
How we calculate it
These are the same steps, in the same order, as the "Show your work" panel under the result.
- What you pasted. Spaces, line breaks, hidden characters, wrapping quotes and trailing punctuation are removed first. The page then recognises a bare Place ID, a review link with
placeid=, a Maps link withquery_place_id=orplace_id=, a long Maps link or text that contains an ID starting with ChIJ, or a g.page review link. - Checking the ID. A Place ID may use only letters, digits, _ and -, and must be at least 20 characters. Business IDs usually start with ChIJ and are 27 characters long. Anything else gets a "Check" note rather than an error, because Google sets no maximum length. IDs are case-sensitive, so the page never changes their case.
- Building the link. The link is three parts joined together. A 27-character ID gives a 79-character link. A g.page link is used exactly as Google gave it, with only http changed to https and spaces removed.
Parts of the review link Part Meaning https://search.google.com/local/writereviewGoogle's review page (not officially documented) ?placeid=tells it which business your ID your Place ID - QR code. The link is encoded in byte mode to the QR Code standard (ISO/IEC 18004), using the open-source Nayuki QR Code generator library (MIT). You pick the error correction level: L lets 7% of the code be damaged and still read, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. The page uses the smallest QR version that holds the link at that level, up to version 10 (57 × 57 modules). A version has 17 + 4 × version modules per side. For a 79-character link at M, version 4 holds 62 bytes and version 5 holds 84, so you get version 5 at 37 × 37. The mask pattern is picked automatically by the lowest penalty score. A white quiet zone 4 modules wide surrounds the code.
- Print size. Module size = printed QR side ÷ (modules per side + 8), because the quiet zone is part of the printed square. On a Letter business card the QR is 1.6 in (40.6 mm), so a version 5 code gives 40.64 ÷ 45 = 0.90 mm (0.036 in) per module.
The PNG uses a whole number of pixels per module: 1,200 ÷ (modules per side + 8), rounded up. For version 5 that is 27 px × 45 = 1,215 px, which prints sharp up to 4.05 in wide at 300 dpi.Printed QR side, including the quiet zone Layout Letter A4 Business cards, 10 per sheet 1.6 in on 3.5 × 2 in cards 40 mm on 85 × 55 mm cards 4 × 6 in counter sign 3 in 76.2 mm (3 in) Folded table tent 3.5 in 90 mm - Privacy. Nothing is sent anywhere. The link, QR code and card are made in your browser, and the page never contacts Google.
Questions
How do I get a Google review link for a service-area business with a hidden address?
If you manage the Business Profile, open it on a computer and choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, then Copy. Paste that link here. If you can't sign in as the owner, open a private window, search your business name and town on Google, right-click Write a review and choose Inspect. Search the code for data-pid and copy the value after it. It starts with ChIJ. Paste it here. The link works on computers and phones.
Can I make a Google review QR code on my phone?
Yes. Google's own review QR code can only be made in a computer browser. This page works on a phone. Paste your Place ID or g.page review link, then download the PNG or SVG, or print a card. If your address is hidden, you may need a computer once to find the Place ID.
Why does my link open the reviews list instead of the review form?
Usually the link was copied from the listing or the reviews tab, and those open the list. The link this page makes points at Google's write-review page. So does the g.page link from your Business Profile that ends in /review. If the form still doesn't open, test in a private window and on a phone, and use the g.page link if you have one.
Will my link or QR code stop working?
It can. Google does not document the write-review link format, so it could change. Place IDs can also change, and Google suggests refreshing them after 12 months. Test the link once a year with the "Open to test" button and reprint only if it fails. The g.page review link from your Business Profile is the most stable choice.
Can I offer a discount for leaving a review?
No. Google's policy forbids offering anything in return for a review, and reviews gained that way can be removed. In the US, the FTC rule (16 CFR Part 465) bans rewards that depend on a review being positive. Ask every customer for an honest review, not just the happy ones.
